Option #2: The JC Elliott Collection Center, Saratoga, Corpus Christi
If have a truck or a way to transport your mattress, then you can take your mattress to the JC Elliot Collection Center. The center is south of Saratoga in Corpus Christi and accepts household refuse (this includes mattresses).
Its important to note that here your mattress will not be recycled and instead be dumped in a landfill somewhere, so it’s not the greenest option.
If you want to dispose of your mattress here, the center is open Monday-Saturday, between 8 am and 5 pm.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You will need proof of ID that shows an address within the city limits of Corpus Christ (a valid driver’s license will do the trick).
Option #3: Donate it
If your mattress is in good condition you can try dropping it at a local donation center. Mattresses are expensive and there are many people who could benefit from having a high quality mattresses donated. We reached out to Goodwill and Arms of Hope and due to sanitary concerns neither of these donation centers are accepting mattresses at this time.

A few times a year, the city of Corpus Christi organizes heavy brush and bulky items collections. During these authorized periods, you can have a mattress taken away – but there are some downsides to this option.

- Thirdly, there are a some rules that come with leaving out bulky items for pickup. If you make a mistake (such as not separating your bulky items from your heavy brush) you incur a fee.
