Which mattress is best for a queen daybed?
A daybed mattress should be firm enough to support you while sitting up and lounging and comfortable enough to sleep on. We recommend a medium firm mattress. A daybed mattress should also be thinner so that it does not sit you too high above the border and allows you to still have a backrest for sitting. Do I need a box spring with my queen daybed
No. The majority of daybeds have a built in bed slat system that supports the mattress without the need for a box spring. By not using a box spring this allows the mattress to sit lower to the ground and makes the daybed provide a more functional and minimal appearance. A platform or slat style frame is just as supportive and sturdy as a box spring.
