To date our company has recycled over 50,000 mattresses in San Diego and has helped to save over 1 million sq. ft. of local landfill space. California is on the forefront of mattress recycling and we are proud to be a part of that movement. We work with residents and businesses throughout the County to take care of their mattress disposal needs 6 days a week. Our goal is to recycle 100% of its old mattresses we pick up.
How it Works
We pick up mattresses and box springs 6 days per week. Simply put your mattress outside by 8am on your scheduled pick up day and our team will come by and grab them. We cover the entire county of San Diego and pick up mattresses from all kinds of homes, businesses and apartment complexes. If you have any special details about your mattress pick up you can leave these in the “notes” section of the booking process. Many residents leave mattresses on the side of the street, by dumpsters, etc… creating unsanitary and unsightly problems that others ultimately have to deal with. Instead, if you need to get rid of a mattress, A Bedder World will come to your home or business and pick them up and responsibly dispose of them, through our mattress recycling process. Recycling a mattress actually utilizes 90% of the materials inside the mattress for other goods such as carpet underlay and scrap metal. Mattress recycling is getting more popular and is making it easier and more affordable for residents to get rid of their mattresses responsibly.

San Diego Mattress & Box Spring Recycling
We try to recycle 100% of the mattresses and box springs we pick up. Each mattress will begin by getting torn apart. The foam will go to making carpet underlay and the metal will be melted down and recycled.
Curbside Residential Pick Ups
Our team will come to your home and pick up your old mattress and box spring. Feel free to put the mattress near your garage, on the front porch or wherever is convenient for you.
Apartment Removals
We will work with your apartment complex to figure out the best place to remove your mattress from. The majority of apartment communities have been extremely accommodating to mattress removals.

The Mattress Recycling Process
As you may have noticed San Diego has some of the highest trash disposal rates in the country. Especially when you are trying to get rid of a bulky “hazardous” item such as a mattress and box springs. This is opening the door for these items to be disposed of responsibly. Mattresses take up on average 23 cubic ft of space in a landfill because they cannot be broken down properly. A Bedder World has saved over 2,000 mattresses from going to local area landfills and that number is only growing with the population rise. For 5 years we have been the towns go-to mattress disposal option, properly disposing of 100% of the mattresses and box springs we pick up.
