Mattress removal in Freeport, NY

Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our Freeport pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.

From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

How it works

  3. We arrive.

Freeport and New York mattress disposal rules

Booking with us? You can skip this part. Everything below is for handling it yourself — Freeport's rules, the fees and the drop-off options. If we're doing the pickup, the regulations and the recycling are ours to deal with: you leave it at the curb and we take it from there.

  1. What Freeport asks for if you use city pickup

These are Village of Freeport's requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

    • Bulk items larger than two (2) feet by two (2) feet by four (4) feet and exceeding the capability of being picked up by two (2) workers will be picked up each week on your second collection day.
    • It is best to put your refuse at the curbside after 6 p.m. the night before your scheduled pick up day.
    • Residents are limited to a total of six bulk items and pails of construction debris each week.
    • One family residences are limited to a total of five (5) cans, pails, bags, or bundles of non recyclable waste on each of the two (2) collection days per week.
    • On what they won't take at the curb: hazardous waste is not collected.

What Village of Freeport says about collection

Bulk pickup is once a week on your second collection day. No special appointment is required. It does name mattresses.
