Mattress removal in East Orange, NJ

Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our East Orange pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.

From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

How it works

  1. Book online.

Pick your items and a pickup day. Takes about a minute, and you see the price before you confirm.

  3. We arrive.

Our team shows up in your window and texts you when they're about thirty minutes out.

  4. We recycle it.

Your mattress goes to our local recycling facility and gets taken apart by hand. You'll get a confirmation once it's done.

East Orange and New Jersey mattress disposal rules

Booking with us? You can skip this part. Everything below is for handling it yourself — East Orange's rules, the fees and the drop-off options. If we're doing the pickup, the regulations and the recycling are ours to deal with: you leave it at the curb and we take it from there.

  1. What East Orange asks for if you use city pickup

These are City of East Orange Department of Public Works' requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

    • All mattress and box springs must be covered with clear 1.5mil polyethylene plastic, mattress disposal bag before pick up, as per Ordinance No. 21 Of 2025.
    • Do not place bulky trash or garbage for pick up prior to 6:00 p.m. the night before your scheduled pick up day.
    • Where to put it: if in fact you have more than this 3 item limit, you CANNOT put it at the curb.
    • City of East Orange Department of Public Works says: “A limit of 3 bulk items is all that we will collect on your bulk day”.
    • No need to call if you have bulky trash.
    • Bulk items consist of furniture, cabinets, mattresses, box springs, doors, screens, rolls of carpet (must be cut to 4 feet wide), bathroom fixtures, empty paint cans and similar items are on the accepted list, so the mattress itself is not the problem — the booking is.
    • A maximum of 3 bags of construction debris, bag weight limit of 50 pounds will be accepted on your bulk garbage day.
    • On what they won't take at the curb, City of East Orange Department of Public Works says: "We do not collect dirt, stones, concrete, bricks, tree stumps or logs."
