1. What Baltimore asks for if you use city pickup

   These are Baltimore City Department of Public Works' requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

   • All items must be clearly marked "bulk collection," and placed at the same location as your regular trash pickup.
   • Baltimore City Department of Public Works says: “Please help our collection crews by setting your bulk items out by 7:00 am on the pickup day, and keeping pets confined indoors”.
   • Where to put it: residents with a rear pickup should leave items at the end of the yard and leave the gate unlocked.
   • City of Baltimore residents can put out up to 3 bulk items for trash collection each month.
   • Please ask the small hauler you hire where they dispose of their items, to help prevent illegal dumping.
   • Baltimore City Department of Public Works says: “Please call us 4 or more working days before your scheduled Saturday collection date”.
   • Mattresses and box springs are on the accepted list, so the mattress itself is not the problem — the booking is.
