Getting rid of a mattress for residents has never been easier. Simply book online, put your mattress outside and POOF! our mattress disposal genies will come by and take it off your hands. Chicago is one of our main pick up areas, we do pick ups in town almost daily. Our experienced pick up teams are experts at navigating the city streets, alleys and apartment complexes. As long as your mattress is outside and accessible we will remove it.

We responsibly dispose of as many mattresses and box springs as possible. We work with local charities, donation centers and recycling facilities and always try to recycle or reuse the mattreses we pick up before taking them to the landfill. We have recycled over 500,000 mattresses to date.
Curbside Residential Pick Ups
Our team will come to your home and pick up your old mattress and box spring. Feel free to put the mattress near your garage, on the front porch or wherever is convenient for you.

We will work with your apartment complex to figure out the best place to remove your mattress from. The majority of apartment communities have been extremely accommodating to mattress removals.

Erick
Erick calls Oak Lawn, IL home and is new to the Bedder World team. Erick is in charge of all of our south pick ups. Erick runs his own junk removal business and we are lucky to have contracted him out to help us remove mattresses from an even larger area!

How To Recycle a Mattress
Founder Tim Sumerfield has been in the mattress industry his entire life. Growing up working in his families’ mattress factory, he became very familiar with the mattress industry. Working in every department from manufacturing, to sales, delivery, and ultimately the disposal of old mattresses. As time went on it was clear to Tim and anyone familiar with the mattress industry that mattress disposal was a major problem. With minimal options for businesses and residence to dispose of their old mattresses properly there was a lot of mattresses unnecessarily ending up in the hands of illegal rebuilders or dumped on the side of the road. What began as a side business of tearing down old mattresses and recycling the components quickly expanded into what it is today. At this point we have recycled over 500,000 mattresses and box springs and have expanded into Chicago, Colorado, San Diego, Austin and Phoenix. A Bedder World plans to become the #1 mattress removal and recycle service throughout the entire United States. As you may have noticed Chicago has some of the highest trash disposal rates in the country. Especially when you are trying to get rid of a bulky “hazardous” item such as a mattress and box springs. This is opening the door for these items to be disposed of responsibly. Mattresses take up on average 23 cubic ft of space in a landfill because they cannot be broken down properly. A Bedder World has saved over 500,000 mattresses from going to landfills and that number is only growing.
