Mattress removal in Milwaukee, WI

Booking takes about a minute. Pick your items and a pickup day, put the mattress out that morning, and we'll load it and take it away. Most of our Milwaukee pickups are curbside, so there's nothing to wrap and no trip to make.

From there it goes to our local recycling facility, where our team takes it apart by hand. The foam gets baled for carpet padding, the steel springs go to scrap processors, and box-spring wood gets chipped. Here's the whole process if you want to see it.

How it works

  1. Book online.

Pick your items and a pickup day. Takes about a minute, and you see the price before you confirm.

  2. Put it at the curb.

Leave it out on your pickup day. No bagging, no wrapping, no plastic required.

  3. We arrive.

Our team shows up in your window and texts you when they're about thirty minutes out.

  4. We recycle it.

Your mattress goes to our local recycling facility and gets taken apart by hand. You'll get a confirmation once it's done.

Milwaukee and Wisconsin mattress disposal rules

Booking with us? You can skip this part. Everything below is for handling it yourself — Milwaukee's rules, the fees and the drop-off options. If we're doing the pickup, the regulations and the recycling are ours to deal with: you leave it at the curb and we take it from there.

  1. What Milwaukee asks for if you use city pickup

These are City of Milwaukee Sanitation Services' requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.

    • Special pickup requests for more than 6 cubic yards, loose material, or mixed materials (construction waste, recyclables, tires, brush/yard waste, etc.) are not eligible for special pickup service.
    • The property will be referred to the Department of Neighborhood Services as a property violation.
    • On what they won't take at the curb: yard waste, electronics and TVs, appliances, and tires are not considered bulky waste and must be disposed of by taking to a Drop Off Center.

Other ways to get rid of a mattress in Milwaukee

If you'd rather do it yourself, here are your other options in Milwaukee. Each one links to the official page so you can check hours and fees before you go.

Haul it to North Side: Industrial Road

6660 Industrial Road. Fees are based on the volume of the load being brought in (measured in cubic yards). Summer April 12 - November 28, 2026 Open Tuesday through Sunday 7:00 A.M. through 3:00 P.M. Limit: The Drop Off Centers are available to City of Milwaukee residents and property owners. Old furniture and mattresses. Note that however, if a passenger car were to have a full trunk and have two mattresses on the roof of the car, this would increase the load size to over 1 cubic yard (closer to the load size of a Truck/Minivan/SUV), and would incur a $20 fee. You'll need a truck or a van, and you do the loading.

What City of Milwaukee Sanitation Services says about collection

1 cubic yard of bulky items (about the size of a recliner or two garbage carts) may be put at your regular collection point for pickup on your regular day. Place your items at the collection point and then request a special pickup online or call 414-286-CITY (2489). There is a fee for collecting more than 1 cubic yard. It does name mattresses.
