If you need to cancel or make changes to an existing pickup request, please call 311 ( 704.336.7600 ) by noon on the business day prior to your scheduled pickup. A few things to know: to be eligible for this service, you must currently receive garbage collection from the City of Charlotte; place bulky items at the curb no later than 6 a.m. on your scheduled collection day and no sooner than the day before collection; there should be 3 feet in between items. No, sorry — we can't take a mattress with bed bugs. Same goes for anything soiled with bodily fluids, badly water damaged or moldy, or contaminated with chemicals. It's not us being fussy: an infested mattress would put everything else in the truck at risk, and it can't be recycled or donated either. Normal wear is completely fine. Sagging, coffee stains, pet hair, a tired-looking cover — we pick those up every day. If you're not sure, send us a photo before you book and we'll tell you straight away.

No. Almost all our pickups are curbside — put the mattress out by 8am on your pickup day and we'll take it whether you're home or not. We'll text you when we're about thirty minutes out so you know it's been done. If you can't get it outside, in-home pickup is available for an extra fee.
