What Dallas asks for if you use city pickup
These are Dallas' requirements, not ours — they apply if you're putting the mattress out for the city rather than booking a pickup with us.
- Brush and bulky items must be placed just behind the curb line in front of your home.
- Set out materials between Thursday and Sunday prior to your collection week.
- Where to put it: do not place within 5 feet of a roll cart, mailbox, fence or wall, water meter, telephone connection box, parked cars, fire hydrant, utility or light pole, or traffic sign.
- You get up to 10 cubic yards per address.
- Early, oversize, and non-compliant setouts are subject to enforcement action, including issuance of citations in addition to collection fees.
- The service request must be submitted the week prior to the customer's brush/bulk collection week.
- Household furniture Carpet Mattresses Toilets Bicycles and toys are on the accepted list, so the mattress itself is not the problem — the booking is.
- On what they won't take at the curb: no trash, garbage, rubbish, waste or any material of any kind in plastic bags that can otherwise fit into your garbage rollcart.

5100 Youngblood Road. There is no charge for Dallas residents in passenger cars, station wagons, pickups, and trailers less than 15 feet long hauling their own waste from their residences to the landfill or transfer station. Open Monday – Friday, 5 a.m. – 8 p.m. and Saturday, 6 a.m. – 4 p.m. Sunday, CLOSED. Call (214) 670-0977 before you load up. A current, valid Texas driver’s license showing a Dallas address or a current Dallas water utilities bill is required as proof of residency. Set outs exceeding the 10 cubic yard limit (or once annual 20 cubic yard exception) or which contain prohibited items will generally be collected, and the customer will be automatically billed for the non-compliant set out at the rate of $60 per 5 cubic yards, billed in 5 cubic yard increments.
